Sacred Games: An Addictive Indian Netflix Original

Imagine watching a more modern Game Of Thrones, with all the drugs, cheap desi liquor, homemade guns with places you can visit in real life and the actors we all adore! This is the Sacred Games.

The series is set in an early Mumbai, beaming with opportunities for anyone brave and willing enough to do what the city demands. A safe haven for dirty cops and dark dons. A sanctum for anyone willing to deal with the devil for a place among the elite. But also a land of dreams, A place where anyone can make a living. From honest cops to shady drug dealers in Hindu Hotels, this series has it all.

The first time I got a glimpse of it, I was in a cafe. The first ten minutes got me so captivated that I Hurried back home to finish the entire series in a night.

Its the tale of an underperforming police officer Sartaj Singh( Saif Ali Khan), A charismatic don who believes he is God ( Aham brahmasmi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui), A smart detective fighting gender prejudice (Radhika Apte) and a lot many interesting characters.

Even though the series received a lot of negative reviews due to the frontal nudity, abusive language and all the things related to religion, it hasn't slowed down.

The desi accent, the natural abuses, all the things we do, make it all the more interesting to watch, if you haven't watched it yet, go right now to Netflix.
